Mobile Phone Parts Identification FAQs

The battery in a mobile phone provides the necessary power to run the device. It stores electrical energy and releases it when needed to power the phone's components.

The processor is the brain of the mobile phone and controls its overall performance. A faster processor can handle more tasks simultaneously and allows for smoother and more responsive user experiences.

Sensors in a mobile phone detect various types of data such as motion, orientation, light, and touch. This data is used to provide features such as automatic screen rotation, proximity sensing during phone calls, and location tracking.

The antenna in a mobile phone receives and transmits radio signals to allow communication with cellular networks. Without an antenna, a mobile phone would not be able to make calls or access the internet.

Moto Z. It says 100% after charging all day. So I remove charger, but immediately dies. Plug it back in & within a minute, it says 100%. Unplug and dies. So this has been its problem for 2 months now! It still worked perfectly as long as always plugged in to charger. So I’ve been using it that way (like a landline!) Today it will not work even if connected to charger. It acts like it’s trying to start; I see Moto screen, but it never starts the animation display that it always does when it starts. It just shows a still graphic of Moto, then goes to black w/lightning bolt. Repeatedly! It’s like if you have a shaky cord/connection that unplugs when jiggled,so you have to make sure it sits perfectly still while charging or it stops charging. It acts just like that, but the connector seems fine, and it happens even when it is perfectly still and nothing touches it. And it does it even with a different charger/cable. So now it won’t even come on even if it’s plugged in. I thought it was bad when it was basically just a landline, but now I wish it was like that again! At least I could still use it as long as it was connected. I read someone who described what sounds like the same issue as mine, and they said their problem was in the IC. I have no idea what that means. Is this a replaceable part? As far as I know, my battery isn’t replaceable. It’s not a separate part that you can take out of the phone. Any ideas? thank you

My Oneplus 5 Device is facing Screen Freeze issue from last few months which gets temporary resolved after multiple reboots , sometime single reboot sometime it didn’t wakes up for 2 days. Now after fighting this battle for months my phone is dead. Display works, everything in the phone works (can see notifications getting recieved , battery getting charged, Network reception on place), just my screen doesn’t respond to my touch. As discussed with Oneplus service center , it is a manufacturing defect in motherboard which is faced by many user who have replaced there motherboard during warranty but i started facing it after my warranty expired.

Now i want to know which component in motherboard can cause this issue where everything is working in background , display is working but screen is not responding to touch.

    • The Phone Display is Made up or 2 Parts – Main Display and Touchscreen. Both are 2 Different Parts. You may have to Just Replace the Touchscreen not the Main Display.

  52. Hello I’ve had a problem with my Xperia Z3 where I get a poor LTE signal and constant loss of GPS during use of Google maps now that I got the phone apart to fix the screen will swapping out the PCB board fix this problem?

    • This is problem of the phone. You cannot do much. Update the Software and check.

      • Don’t think it’s a software issue but if any thing I could try flashing a different firmware as there is no more updates for this phone it’s a Rogers phone from the east coast and I’m a Fido customer on the west coast basically the same network so I don’t know it could be a problem in the motherboard with one of the components and yes if so there’s not really a fix
